14. Gochujang Jjigae(Spicy Chili Paste Stew)

Gochujang is used to a lot of Korean dishes.
Out of them, hereby I’d introduce the recipe for Gochujang Jjigae which is very good to eat with steam-cooked rice.

Korean name : Gochujang JJIGAE[gotʃu:dƷang iige], 고추장찌개(in Korean alphabet)

Serving : 2

Ingredient : diced potato(1/2EA), diced onion(1/2EA), diced zucchini pumpkin(1/6EA),
                     minced garlic(1 teaspoon), mushroom(30g), green onion(20g),
Gochujang(1 tablespoon), sesame oil or vegetable oil(1 tablespoon),
                     pork(100g), water(2 cups), black pepper, sliced chili(optional)

How to cook
1. In a skillet, stir-fry the pork, garlic, onion, potato, pumpkin with sesame oil for 1 min.
2. Add water & Gochujang and stir them to let Gochujang melt in water.
3. Add green onion, mushroom, and a pinch of black pepper to it and boil for 10mins
over a high to medium heat at least.
4. Adding a half tablespoon of seafood soup stock will make a magic to the flavor.
5. Can garnish a few pieces of sliced chili.
